Jean-Baptiste Del Amo is a French novelist born in 1981. He is the author of Une éducation libertine, winner of the Goncourt First Novel Prize, and Animalia, translated by Frank Wynne and published by Fitzcarraldo Editions in 2019. His fiction is marked by bodily intensity, inheritance, violence and the pressure of family structures.
